DPF, EGR, and AdBlue workflows should begin with diagnostics

XRemover supports file workflows around DPF, EGR, and AdBlue solutions for compatible ECU files. These requests are common in workshops, but they should always begin with a diagnostic review. A file option is only one part of the full service process.

Read Fault Codes First

Before uploading the ECU file, record the DTC list, freeze frame data where available, sensor readings, and the customer's complaint. This helps separate an electrical or mechanical issue from a software request.

  • For DPF jobs, review pressure sensor behavior and regeneration history.
  • For EGR jobs, check actuator movement, valve condition, and related DTCs.
  • For AdBlue/SCR jobs, review NOx sensor data, level information, and SCR fault records.

Use Supported Solutions Carefully

After the original file is uploaded, XRemover can show supported options for that file. The technician should select only the required items and avoid combining unrelated changes unless the job scope clearly requires it.

Document the Legal Scope

DPF, EGR, and AdBlue systems are connected to emissions control. Workshops should document the intended vehicle use and local compliance requirements before any operation is performed.

Post-Process Verification

After writing the tuned file, run a diagnostic scan, check dashboard behavior, and confirm that the vehicle operates as expected. The original file, tuned file, and diagnostic notes should stay together in the customer record.

Compliance note: Emissions related ECU work may be restricted or prohibited for road vehicles in many regions. Always follow local rules and inspection requirements.
